2023 Ontario Project Management Competition

2023 Ontario Project Management Competition (OPMC) - In Person

Inspiring Bold Leaders for a Sustainable Future

Apply Here by Friday, March 10, 2023

OPMC 2023 is dedicated to the memory and impact of Audrey Wideman (1926 – 2023)

About the Competition

The Ontario Project Management Competition (OPMC) is inspired by a competition in Vancouver founded by the Wideman Education Foundation (WEF) - an inclusive community that promotes project management competences, skills, and opportunities within the Project Management world to students. OPMC aims to bring the same benefits of this competition to youth and students here in Ontario. Please see this video from our very first competition.

OPMC 2023 marks the 7th year to host College and University student teams that have planned and delivered a project!

Projects will be evaluated on two key elements:

  1. How Project Management principles were used to plan and deliver the project, and
  2. How strongly the project objective and purpose aligns to one or more United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

Each submission must have had a minimum duration of two months from ideation to delivery. Eligible projects for this competition are not meant to resemble a “typical” academic assignment, but a unique business endeavor that fosters social good within local or global communities.
