8th  “LEAN SIX SIGMA GREEN BELT” CERTIFICATION – FOR ALL THE SECTORS

Goal - Trainees will be able to embed Lean Six Sigma culture in their respective organization, create a robust Communication Structure and will be able to coach staff on daily problem solving and process improvements. They will also be able to lead complex problem solving and large Lean or Kaizen events.

IMPORTANTONLY FOR “LEAN OR SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELTS”, EITHER TRAINED BY QCDMS CONSULTANTS OR THROUGH ANY OTHER SIMILAR LEAN OR LEAN SIX SIGMA TRAINING PROVIDER.

Note - You will have to complete an exam and also complete an Improvement project during and after training (whether a Problem Solving or Process Improvement project).

 

LEAN SIX sigma GREEN BELT CERTIFICATION

Lean is a methodology that relies on team-based problem solving or process improvements, to improve organization’s performance. Trainees remove inefficiencies, roadblocks, bottlenecks and waste from processes. LEAN is Toyota Production System, it is in great demand across all the sectors, especially healthcare, service and public service.

Six Sigma () is a set of techniques and tools for process improvement. It was introduced by engineer Bill Smith while working at Motorola in 1980. Six Sigma strategies seek to improve the quality of the output of a process by identifying and removing the causes of defects and minimizing variability in all the business processes, across all the sectors.

All the organizations are looking for Lean Six Sigma certified professionals.

Note - This is our 7th Green Belt session in collaboration with PMI Lakeshore chapter, and in the past six sessions we have trained 100+ professionals from different sectors across GTA.

Requirements:

Trainee has to be LEAN or Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certified. Trainer also wants you to bring 1 complex problem or 1 large process from your existing or previous job. You will be able to apply Lean Six Sigma principles, philosophies, methodologies and tools in your own setting or through experiential exercises that we have designed for easy learning and for faster adoption.

Where - Residence Inn by Mariott, 55 Courtneypark Drive West, Mississauga, ON L5W 0E3.

When - Three days, One Friday and Two Saturdays, November 22,23 and 30, 2019, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on all the three days. Breakfast will be served at 8:00 AM.

Who - Trainees from every sector are welcome, trainees should have attended 2  days of Lean or Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt training to attend these 3 days course.

How much - For PMI members $825 + HST and for non PMI members $845 + HST. This training includes the cost of training material, templates, case studies, breakfast, lunch and breaks (plus free parking) for both the days.

How - To earn Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, following will have to be completed:

  1. Choose a problem or process to improve (your certification project) before the training
  2. Attend all 3 days of training course, apply Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies to your project or problem
  3. Complete an open book exam
  4. After training, within 1 - 4 months, complete one improvement project, show benefits and submit the report to us
  5. Get project approval from us and get certified as a “Lean Six Sigma Green Belt”.

• 2 days of Lean or Six Sigma Yellow Belt + (Trainees should complete this training before 3 days of Green Training)
• 3 Complex Lego Simulations exercises
• Creating a culture where people feel valued
• Other Green Belt skills (Project Management, Group Facilitation, Data Analysis and Change or Communication Management)
• Project Selection Methodology
• Measure of Dispersion (Variance, Standard Deviation, Sigma Levels, DPMO, Six Sigma, Normal Distribution and Process Capability)
• Define Stage (Project Charter, GANTT Chart, Lean Event Check List and DMAIC Tools overview, VOC, Kano Model)
• Theory of Constraints and Exercises
• Data, type and Measure Stage (Time and Motion Study, Yamazumi Charts, Capacity Studies, y=f(x), Exercise with Detailed SIPOC, Sources of Variation and Attributes per Source of Variation and OUTPOT, Detailed Value Stream Mapping, Data Collection plan)
• Analyze Stage (Large Data base analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Design of Experiments and Action Plan)
• Complex Lean Tools and Improve Stage (SMED, OEE, TPM amd Kan Ban),
• Control Stage (SPC, Skills Development and Closure Report)
• Report Out presentation template and share Lean Six Sigma Tools library
• Benefit calculation for Lean Six Sigma projects and benefits across organization

You are required to notify the chapter by sending an e-mail message to [email protected] with your cancellation request. Cancellation before this deadline is subject to an administration fee equal to 6% of the amount billed rounded off to the nearest dollar.

If you cancel your registration after the deadline you will not receive any refund of the registration fees. It is also not possible to transfer your registration to another event if you are unable to attend the event you have registered for.
