5th  “LEAN SIX SIGMA GREEN BELT” CERTIFICATION – FOR ALL THE SECTORS
Presented by QCDMS Consultants in collaboration with PMI Lakeshore Ontario Chapter

Goal - Trainees will be able to embed Lean culture in their respective organization, create a robust Communication Structure and will be able to coach staff on daily problem solving and process improvements. They will also be able to lead complex problem solving and large Lean or Kaizen events.

IMPORTANTONLY FOR “LEAN OR SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELTS”, EITHER TRAINED BY QCDMS CONSULTANTS OR THROUGH ANY OTHER SIMILAR LEAN OR LEAN SIX SIGMA TRAINING PROVIDER.

Note - You will have to complete an exam and also complete an Improvement project during and after training (whether a Problem Solving or Process Improvement project).

 

LEAN SIX sigma GREEN BELT CERTIFICATION

Lean is a methodology that relies on team based problem solving or process improvements, to improve the organization’s performance. Trainees remove inefficiencies, roadblocks, bottlenecks, waste and variation. LEAN is Toyota Production System, it is in great demand in all the sectors, especially healthcare, service and public service. All the organizations are looking for Lean certified professionals. The main focus of this training will be to teach trainees on how to engage staff through Lean culture and philosophies.

Note- This is our 5th Green Belt session, in past 4 similar sessions were completed, 70 professionals are already Green Belt certified and are working in different sectors across GTA.

Requirements:

The trainee has to be LEAN or Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certified. The trainer also wants you to bring 1 complex problem or 1 large process from your existing or previous job. You will be able to apply Lean principles, philosophies, methodologies and tools in your own settings or through experiential exercises that we have designed for easy learning and for faster adoption.

When - 1 Weekday and Two Saturdays February 02, 08 and 09 2019, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on all the three days. Breakfast will be served at 8:00 AM.

Who - Trainees from every sector are welcome, trainees should have attended 2  days of Lean or Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt training to attend these 3 days course.

How much - For PMI members $825 + HST and for non PMI members $845 + HST. This training includes the cost of training material, templates, case studies, breakfast, lunch and breaks (plus free parking) for both the days.

How - To earn Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, following will have to be completed:

  1. Choose a problem or process to improve (your certification project) before the training
  2. Attend all 3 days of training course, apply Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies to your project or problem
  3. Complete an open book exam
  4. After training, within 1 - 4 months, complete one improvement project, show benefits and submit the report to us
  5. Get project approval from us and get certified as a “Lean Six Sigma Green Belt”.

Also, Trainees will be eligible for 10 additional PDUs once they complete their homework, break up is as follows Leadership – 4, Strategic and Business Management – 4 and Technical Project Management- 2. Trainees will have to self-report this 10 PDUS through PDU or CCRS process.

You are required to notify the chapter by sending an e-mail message to cancel@pmiloc.org with your cancellation request. Cancellation before this deadline is subject to an administration fee equal to 6% of the amount billed rounded off to the nearest dollar.

If you cancel your registration after the deadline you will not receive any refund of the registration fees. It is also not possible to transfer your registration to another event if you are unable to attend the event you have registered for.

Get Certified as a LEAN GREEN BELT. You can utilize these 24 hours of the classroom as 24 PMI PDUs or for ASQ Members as 2.4 RUs or can use these 24 hours of classroom training for your other certification bodies. For PMI members, once they complete one improvement project, they can further self-apply for another 10 PMI PDUs.

For PMI Lakeshore Ontario Chapter Members, 24 Hours of in-class training (Leadership - 8, Technical - 8 & Business/Strategic - 8) will be reported by PMI and the remaining 10 hours must be self-reported.
