18th “LEAN SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELT” CERTIFICATION – FOR ALL THE SECTORS

Lean Six Sigma is a methodology that relies on a team-based problem solving, to make process improvements, to improve organization’s performance by removing inefficiencies, roadblocks, and bottlenecks and by reducing variation. It combines Lean (Toyota Production System) and Six Sigma (Motorola) methodologies. Lean Six Sigma is in great demand in all the sectors, especially healthcare, service and public service. All the organizations are looking for Lean Six Sigma certified professionals. The main focus of this training will be to teach trainees on how to engage staff through Lean culture and utilize Six Sigma methodologies when it comes to detailed statistical analysis or during complex problem-solving.

Note: This is our 18th session, in past 16 similar sessions were completed, 350+ people are already certified who are working in different sectors across GTA.

 

LEAN SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELT CERTIFICATION

No previous Lean Six Sigma training or experience is required. Trainer only wants you to bring 1 problem and 1 medium size process from your existing or previous job. You are also welcome without a problem or a process as you will be able to learn from other trainee’s problems or processes through numerous group exercises in the classroom. You will be able to apply Lean Six Sigma principles, philosophies, methodologies and tools in your own settings or through experiential exercises that we have designed for easy learning and for faster adoption.

Become proficient in LEAN SIX SIGMA and earn LEAN SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELT certification. Become a LEAN SIX SIGMA Leader in your organization, learn attributes of a Lean Six Sigma Leader and learn to connect organization’s Purpose to the work happening at the frontline. Learn to apply Communication and Change Management, learn Daily LEAN management, earn to identify Improvement projects and apply basics of Project management, Lean Six Sigma & People Motivational skills. A Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt can lead their teams to improve existing processes, products or services through “Rapid Improvement Events (RIE)” methodology and A3 Problem Solving or DMAIC approach.

Who - Trainees from every sector are welcome, no previous experience with Lean Six Sigma required (open to all).

How much - Cost – For PMI Lakeshore Chapter Members $525 plus tax and for All Other PMI Chapter Members/Other Professional Bodies/Guests $545 plus tax. This training includes the cost of training material, breakfast, lunch, and breaks (plus free parking) for both the days.

Closing Date - 9:00 PM, Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

How - To earn Lean Yellow Belt certification, the following will have to be completed:

  1. 8 hours of pre-work (trainer will send this 3 days ahead of the training)
  2. 8 hours of Day 1 training
  3. 8 hours of Day 2 training and a simple open book test

Get Certified as a LEAN SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELT. These hours can be utilized as recertification units for your respective PMI (24 PDUs), ASQ (1.6 RUs) designations or other professional designations. For PMI members, 16 hours of in-class training will be reported by PMI and the remaining 8 hours must be self-reported.

Trainees will be:

  1. Get Introduction to Lean, philosophies, principles and tools through an engaging experiential classroom exercise or game
  2. Able to learn about the culture and leadership attributes required to engage people and make daily process improvements
  3. Able to create a purpose, lead the team through Leader standard work and embed Lean in their daily management
  4. Identify processes, problems and lead Rapid improvement projects by applying most common used Lean tools
  5. Solve small to medium size problems through Six Sigma DMAIC or Ford 8D or Honda’s A3 problem solving
  6. Apply the training in their problem and process and earn a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate

You are required to notify the chapter by sending an e-mail message to cancel@pmiloc.org with your cancellation request. Cancellation before this deadline is subject to an administration fee equal to 6% of the amount billed rounded off to the nearest dollar.

If you cancel your registration after the deadline you will not receive any refund of the registration fees. It is also not possible to transfer your registration to another event if you are unable to attend the event you have registered for.
