Corporate Event Centre (CHSI)
5110 Creekbank Road
Mississauga, L4W 0A1

Recent update and the main drivers behind the present change of PMBOK (i.e. from 5th to 6th edition) are: Agile and Change Management. Agile embraces the Change, but also necessities the change governance (organizational change management) – an important consideration that is often either ignored or under-estimated.

The goal of the presentation would not only be to highlight the “New Changes” in PMBOK 6th Edition, but importantly to comprehend the change and what necessitated the change. In this context, we will take an analytical, but agile, journey of:

  • Project Failures
  • Change Framework/Model (Organizational Change) - ADAPT
  • Quick Refresh of PMBOK 5th Edition
  •  Agile – What and Why?
  • Comparison of Traditional (Predicative) vs. Agile (Adaptive) Project Management.
  • Identify, and reason, the changes in the PMBOK 6th Edition.

The participants, inside this distinctively formulated presentation, would gain knowledge about:

  • Rationale behind the change in PMBOK from 5th Edition to 6th Edition,
  • The main drivers for the change (i.e. Agile and Change Management),
  • Agile Methodologies and potential benefits
  • High-level changes implemented in PMBOK 6th Edition in terms of its structure and contents; along with the changes in processes (deletion, additions, and name changes).
