If so, please plan to join us in this workshop on September 20, 2017 - Mindfulness Improves Project Execution and Leadership Engagement: Evidence and Practice.

Research indicates that being mindful on day to day basis optimizes successful project delivery, effects positive organizational changes, spurs personal growth and brings measurable benefits to your personal mental and physical health.

In this evidence-based informational-experiential workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn the following:

  • Basic skills of mindfulness practice

  • How mindfulness alters brain structures involved in:

    • Down-regulation of stress, distress and other human factors (such as conflicts, pressures, etc.) severely impacting project management and delivery process

    • And up-regulation of project management skills essential to a successful delivery and leadership engagement (evidenced through fMRI or other scans)

  • How to integrate/implement these skills into your professional and personal life.

  • How to create ease, fluidity, harmony and success in your personal and professional relationships.

 

SPEAKER - Dr. Parmjit Singh (PhD)

Dr. Parmjit Singh is Assistant Clinical Professor with Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University and has a PhD in Psychology. He has Clinical Training in Mind-Body Medicine from Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA and has participated in an intensive retreat on Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in mind-body medicine under the direction of Drs. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli.  He did his Post-doctoral training in psychology from University of Southern Queensland, Australia and McMaster University, Canada.

He teaches in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Michael DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, Hamilton.

He was nominated for Excellence in Teaching Award by students of Faculty of Health Sciences, McMaster University, Canada for 2013 - 2014 year.

In addition to publishing numerous research papers, newsletters and book reviews, he has also written three workbooks.

He is a professional speaker who offers corporate and community mindfulness-based stress management and professional development programs/retreats in Toronto-Mississauga, Hamilton and Brantford area.
